Kiwanis Club of Rome

Fall 2008 Apple Fundraiser

Details and order form are here.

These apples come straight out of the mountain terraces of North Georgia’s famed Blue Ridge area. These are the apples you remember as a child growing up, the freshest apples grandma had to offer. They are full of juice and flavor and are very crisp, not to mention they’re just downright good for you!

The apples are being sold in Peck Size Bags. A peck is approximately 10 lbs. Keep in mind: a peck is a volume measurement; some bags could weigh more than 10 lbs and some could weigh less.

bullet

Cost: $10.00 per bag.

Orders are due by Monday, October 20 to Keith Mickler.

Orders must be picked up on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am in the parking lot across the street from the downtown First Baptist Church. The lot is located on 1st Street beside the Floyd County Administration building.

Orders are available through Kiwanis members.  Make sure that you fill out the order form and receive a receipt.  The order form will be used to attempt to contact you.

We will make every attempt to contact our customers if they forget to pick up their apples. Apples not picked up by 10:30 am will be resold or donated to charity. There are no refunds.

Applebee's Dining to Donate

The Rome Kiwanis Club would like to thank those that participated in the Dining to Donate program.  This money will be used for scholarships.  Our thanks to Applebee's for sponsoring this event.  Thanks also go to Terry Herndon for organizing this event.

In this event we were able to raise $62.00 . It was our first time to try this avenue of fundraising.  We hope to do better next time.
