Local Art Showcase
For two years running, the Kiwanis Club of Rome has sponsored a Local Art Showcase for Rome/Floyd County student artists. It is held at the the Rome Area Council for the Arts followed by an artist reception. Students in grades 6-12 from the Rome/Floyd County Schools are eligible to submit art in any media for display and competition.
Awards are given for Best in Show and first place in each grade level. The overall winner recieves a $500 college scholarship!
The top winner is also sent to the Georgia District Art Showcase held in Carrollton, GA, where they have a chance to compete for an educational scholarship in the amount of $3,500 provided by the Georgia Kiwanis Memorial Foundation.
